Sub Committees

OF THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL

Standing Committee: The only committee required by law. It has the power to transact the business of the PCC between its meetings, subject to any directions of the Council and is composed of;- Vicar, 2 Church Wardens and Treasurer.
The Panels: The PCC operates through a number of Panels which meet between full meetings of the Council. The Panels act in an advisory capacity to the Council and apart from covering the broad issues for which they are formed, they may be asked to study and report on specific problems. The Panels may include persons who are not members of the Council.
The Education Panel: considers ways and means of increasing the spiritual understanding and knowledge of people of all age groups.
The Social Activities Panel: organises social events to promote fellowship, publicity regarding the parish church and sometimes fund-raising.
Mission to the Young: toddlers, children and youth of all ages includes those attending worship and residing in the parish.
The Pastoral Panel: oversees pastoral care within the parish and neighbourhood and addresses community concerns.
The Organ Maintenance Sub-Committee: advises the PCC on necessary repairs and maintenance to the organ and grand piano.
The Parochial Giving Panel: recommends the allocation of monies by the PCC given to charities and advises on giving.
The Fabric Panel: attends to matters relating to the maintenance of the church buildings, the churchyard and car parks.
