Later in life, the baptismal promises made on behalf of a child can be confirmed by that person when they have had chance to think them through for themselves, again with the help of the local church. Adults too can confirm their faith. Discussion groups are held over a number of months to allow candidates for confirmation to think through issues of faith with the confirmation service led by a Bishop. It is always a greatly encouraging experience.
